Job summary

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA certification or current enrollment in an accredited nursing program required.
• Successful completion of Patient Care Technician orientation required.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic daily care including hygiene, feeding, elimination, mobility, and dressing.
• Records vital signs, intake/output, blood glucose, and other data as directed by the plan of care.
• Assists with transfers and positioning within safe lifting limits.
• Maintains clean, organized patient care areas and equipment.
• Documents care and quantitative values in the nursing database.
• Orientates patient and family to environment, safety hazards, and care activities.
• Reports changes in patient condition to the registered nurse.
