Job summary

Shirley Ryan AbilityLab is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide basic daily care, assist with hygiene and activities of daily living, and maintain clean, safe patient areas in support of our mission.

Under the supervision of registered nurses, you will monitor patient conditions, document findings, assist with transfers, and uphold SRAlab values of compassion, collaboration and excellence in care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA Certification or enrollment in accredited nursing program required.
• Completes Patient Care Technician orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic daily patient care and assistance with hygiene and activities of daily living.
• Maintains patient care areas in a clean, orderly condition.
• Records vital signs and other routine data as directed by the nurse.
• Assists in transferring patients and equipment and supports safety for patients and staff.
