Job summary

Shirley Ryan AbilityLab seeks a Patient Care Technician to provide routine daily care to patients and support their families. You will assist with hygiene, vital signs, mobility, and daily living activities under RN supervision, while maintaining clean patient areas.

Required CNA certification or active enrollment in a nursing program, plus strong communication and teamwork skills. The role reports to the Nurse Manager and includes a comprehensive benefits package in a standard hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA Certification or current enrollment in an accredited nursing program required.
• Demonstrates competency in growth and development of patients across age groups.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic daily patient care including hygiene and daily living activities.
• Take vital signs, collect specimens, and document data in the nursing database.
• Assist in transferring patients and managing care delivery under RN supervision.
• Maintain clean and orderly patient care areas and stock supplies at bedside.
