Job summary

Mercy Health's St. Charles Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support nursing staff and provide essential patient care on day shifts. The role involves sanitizing rooms, assisting with feeding and grooming, and monitoring patient health and vital signs under RN supervision.

The ideal candidate has recent acute care experience, strong communication skills, and a compassionate approach to patient comfort. BLS certification is preferred and EPIC EHR experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Basic patient care tasks with strong communication and empathy.
• Must have or obtain BLS and relevant licensure as required.
• Experience in acute care or similar settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care under RN supervision.
• Record vital signs, assist with hygiene and mobility.
• Report changes to nurses and document care actions.
