Job summary

Augusta Health is seeking a dayshift patient care technician in Fishersville, VA. Under the supervision of a registered nurse, you will assist unit staff nurses and clerical staff to ensure efficient unit operations and safe patient care.

Responsibilities include bathing, dressing and feeding of patients, taking vital signs, performing phlebotomy and EKGs, with a focus on quality patient care in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Educational requirements per hospital certifications (Stroke, Orthopedic/Spine).
• Completion of 1st semester of clinical rotations in an RN program preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant in Virginia preferred.
• Previous acute care hospital work experience preferred.
