Augusta Health in Fishersville, VA is seeking a night shift Patient Care Technician for Progressive Care/Telemetry. You will assist nurses, perform vital signs, phlebotomy and EKGs, and support patient care activities. Requires a high school diploma; CNA in VA preferred; prior acute care experience preferred.

Role includes shifts with differential, on-site parking, and opportunities for professional growth within a nonprofit community health system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Educational requirements per hospital certifications (Stroke, Orthopedic/Spine).
• Completion of 1st semester of clinical rotations in an RN program preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant in Virginia preferred.
• Previous acute care hospital work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of a registered nurse, assist unit staff nurses and clerical specialists to ensure efficient unit operations and safe patient care.

• Includes bathing, dressing and feeding of patients, performing vital signs, phlebotomy and Ekg's.
