Job summary

Augusta Health is seeking a FT patient care technician to support nursing staff in a busy hospital unit in Fishersville, VA. Under RN supervision, you will assist with patient care tasks, vital signs, basic procedures, and bedside duties to promote safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent; Virginia CNA preferred; RN rotation coursework preferred; prior acute care experience helpful. A sign-on bonus of $3,000 is available for qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Educational requirements per hospital certifications (Stroke, Orthopedic/Spine).
• Completion of 1st semester of clinical rotations in an RN program preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant in Virginia preferred.
• Previous acute care hospital work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, assists unit staff nurses and clerical specialists to ensure efficient unit operations and safe patient care.
• Includes bathing, dressing and feeding of patients.
• Performs vital signs, phlebotomy and EKGs.
