Job summary

Augusta Health in Fishersville, VA is seeking a full-time Patient Care Technician to join our nursing team. Under RN supervision, you will support unit staff and clerical personnel to ensure safe patient care and efficient unit operations.

Responsibilities include bathing, dressing and feeding patients, taking vital signs, phlebotomy and EKGs, with opportunities for growth and in-house PCT program advancement on hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Active Virginia State Board of Nursing CNA license OR currently enrolled RN student with first semester clinical rotations completed OR enrollment and successful completion of Augusta Health’s PCT program upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Augusta Health is seeking a FT patient care technician

• Under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse, performs various duties assisting unit staff nurses and clerical specialists to ensure efficient unit operations and safe patient care following established procedures.
• Includes bathing, dressing and feeding of patients, performing vital signs, phlebotomy and Ekg's.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Educational requirements per hospital certifications (Example: Stroke, Orthopedic/Spine).
• Active Virginia State Board of Nursing CNA license OR Currently enrolled in an accredited RN program and have completed the first semester of clinical rotations OR Enrollment in and successful completion of Augusta Health’s in-house Patient Care Tech (PCT) program upon hire.
• Basic Life Support - BLS
