Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Oxford, FL is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for PRN/Per Diem with 12-hour day and night shifts. You will join a team delivering compassionate, essential care to critically ill patients in a post-ICU setting.

The role emphasizes bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, hourly rounds, patient transport, equipment cleaning, and maintaining clean rooms. A High school diploma or 3+ years experience, CNA or nursing assistant certification, and BLS within 90 days are

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant or CNA or related field required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Bath patients using basin-less bath products and assist with oral hygiene and feeding.
• Participate in hourly rounds and monitor patient needs.
• Transport patients to and from treatment centers and assist transporters with moving patients in wheelchairs or stretchers.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment (bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs) and keep patient rooms tidy.
• Manage unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
