Select Specialty Hospital in Fort Myers, FL seeks a dedicated Patient Care Technician to join our team caring for chronically ill, post-ICU patients. The role focuses on compassionate patient assistance, daily rounds, and aiding the nursing staff.

The PCT will support bathing, mobility, transport, and room maintenance while upholding safety and comfort. This is a full-time night-shift position with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Hospital experience as a CNA or related field preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist patients with bathing and personal care using basin-less methods.
• Take hourly rounds and monitor patient needs.
• Transport patients to treatment areas and assist with transfers.
• Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms, instruments, and equipment.
• Keep inventory of supplies and restock as directed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Schedule: Full Time, 12hr shifts, night shift

Compensation: $17.50 - $21.33 per hour + shift differential for nights & weekends

• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant)
