Job summary

Physicians Regional Healthcare System seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care under supervision of an RN or LPN. You will assist with activities of daily living, ensure a safe care environment, and communicate effectively with the care team.

The role includes vital signs collection, feeding and hygiene support, mobility assistance, and adherence to infection control protocols.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred
• Basic knowledge of patient care practices and equipment.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire; CNA or CPCT preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in delivering care and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Record and report vital signs and other patient data to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Support patients with activities of daily living including meals, hygiene and mobility.
• Assist with patient positioning, ambulation and use of mobility aids.
• Collect urine/stool samples and monitor blood glucose as directed.
