Job summary

East Georgia Regional Medical Center, LLC is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care under supervision of the RN or LPN. You will assist with activities of daily living, maintain a safe care environment, and support communication within the healthcare team.

The role requires 0–2 years in acute care or enrollment in a nursing program. BCLS within 90 days; CNA or CPCT preferred.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred
• BCLS - Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire required
• CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant preferred or CPCT - Certified Patient Care Technician preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists nursing staff in delivering care and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment.
• Collects and records patient data, including vital signs and intake/output, reporting to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Supports patients with meals, bathing, oral care, grooming, linen changes, skin care, elimination assistance, and urinary catheter care.
• Assists with patient positioning, repositioning, ambulating, and using mobility aids.
• Collects urine/stool samples and performs glucose monitoring, reporting results to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Communicates patient information effectively to the care team and adheres to PPE and safety protocols.
