Job summary

Overland Park Regional Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician Neuro Trauma to join our team. You will assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 1+ years in acute care (preferred), and a Kansas CNA license or completion of the HCA PCT Essentials training. BCLS must be obtained upon hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of acute care experience preferred.
• Kansas CNA License or completion of HCA Patient Care Tech Essentials training.
• BCLS certification required upon hire.
• Must complete PCT Orientation (2 weeks, Mon-Fri 8am-5pm) before transitioning to 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Maintaining clean, organized patient areas and common spaces to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicating with patients, families, and the care team to enhance safety and quality.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assistingwith patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked tomaintainsafety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
• Full-time DAY Schedule: 6:45a-7:15p; 3 12-hr shifts weekly plus rotating weekends

What qualifications you will need:

• A minimum of a High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of experience in an acute care setting, Preferred.
• Kansas Certified Nursing Assistant License required or completion of the HCA Patient Care Tech Essentials training.
• BCLS certification required upon hire.
• Must be able to complete PCT Orientation (2 full weeks, Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm before transitioning to 12-hr shifts on floor). Octoberstart dates.
