Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park, KS seeks a Physical Therapist for a Seasonal PRN role to help patients regain strength, mobility, and confidence after illness or surgery. You will assess needs, craft personalized plans, and work with physicians to ensure meaningful outcomes.

You will deliver evidence-based interventions, monitor progress, educate patients and families, and collaborate across disciplines to provide cohesive, patient-centered care throughout recovery.

Qualifications

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • LPT license as a Physical Therapist.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • No travel required for the position.
  • One year of experience is required.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating patient abilities and developing personalized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and the care team.
  • Delivering evidence-based interventions that restore movement, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life.
  • Monitoring progress, refining therapy plans, and ensuring accurate, timely documentation of outcomes.
  • Educating patients and families on exercise programs, adaptive techniques, and safe practices that promote independence.
  • Collaborating across disciplines to ensure cohesive, patient-centered care and smooth transitions throughout recovery.
  • Leading by example—mentoring therapy assistants or students while upholding HCA Healthcare’s values of excellence, compassion, and integrity.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As a Physical Therapist, you play a vital role in helping patients regain strength, restore mobility, and rebuild confidence following illness, injury, or surgery. Working closely with physicians and the care team, you’ll assess each patient’s needs and create personalized therapy plans designed around meaningful goals, active engagement, and exceptional patient outcomes. Seasonal Position Requirements and Incentives


  • Seasonal position for 11/8/26 -- 2/27/27

  • Completion bonus to be paid to eligible employees after the successful completion of 16 consecutive weeks of employment while meeting all shift requirements during that period.

  • All Seasonal RNs/PCTs/ RRTs are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period (0.9 FTEs) during the seasonal period.

  • Two (2) weekend shifts are required for each 4-week period if applicable.

  • During the 16-week period, the employee is required to work one holiday shift as defined by Department Manager or designee.

  • Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call-off. There is no guarantee of hours by the hospital. However, if employees are called off by the facility, then they will still be eligible for the completion bonus.

  • Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for benefits, except 401 (k) and retirement contribution per the PRN policy.

  • Staff members classified in the Seasonal Program are eligible for Critical Staffing Need Differential payments, when approved for their department and after they have completed three scheduled shifts in a week (i.e. 4th shift is paid Critical Staffing Differential).

  • Shifts may vary based on needs of the department.

  • After the completion period has been met, employees are eligible to apply to open FT/PT/PRN vacancies.

  • Current PRN employees with 0.001 or .3 FTE commitment can be considered for this program.

  • Based on business needs, the seasonal program can be ended at any time.

  • This program cannot be combined with Seasonal Incentive Program.

What qualifications you will need
