Endeavor Health seeks a Part-Time Patient Care Technician for the Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus to support the inpatient General Medical/Surgical unit. You will assist nurses with essential patient care tasks and help ensure patient safety and comfort on a 12-hour shift schedule.

Responsibilities include following established procedures, documenting care activities, and prioritizing patient needs while collaborating with the healthcare team.

Qualificações

• CPR certification issued by American Heart Association.
• Nursing assistant training or minimum six months of patient care experience or nursing clinical rotation.
• Completion of Care Companion Course within six months if required by department.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, prioritization, and ability to follow directions.

Responsabilidades

• Perform patient care tasks under RN supervision and established procedures to ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Follow care protocols and participate in care delivery as directed by nursing staff.

Hourly Pay Range

$19.71 - $28.58 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Position: Patient Care Technician - Inpatient General Medical/Surgical Unit
• Location: Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus - 155 E. Brush Hill Rd., Elmhurst, IL 60126
• Part-Time: 24 hours per week
• Hours: 7am-7pm (three 12 hour shifts) with every 3rd weekend rotation and holiday track

What You Will Do

The Patient Care Tech, under the directions of a Registered Nurse (RN) and, according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients.

What You Will Need

• Education: N/A
• Certification: Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association
• Experience: Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of previous patient care experience or equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation
• Successful completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when course is required by the department.
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
