Job description

Hourly Pay Range:

$18.84 - $27.32 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Patient Care Technician
  • Location: Highland Park, IL
  • Full Time/Part Time: part time, 2 hours per week, evening shift
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, [2 hours per week, 3:00p-11:30p, holidays, weekends

What you will need:

  • Eligible to work in the US
  • Completion of an accredited certified nursing assistant (CNA) training course preferred
  • Completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical nursing preferred
  • Current BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider issued by either American Heart Association
  • If BLS certification is not current or does not have certification, required to be obtained within the employee's introductory period (within 90 days of hire date).

What you will do:

  • Work under the supervision of a RN to deliver patient care
  • Assist with Vital Signs (includes manual blood pressure), 12-Lead EKG, Bladder Ultrasound, Foley catheter and IV adapter removal, sterile specimen collection, bathing, beds, ambulating, turning, hourly rounding, blood glucose, feeding, admitting patients to room, preparing patients for discharge and any other duties delegated by the Registered Nurse
  • Assist with the implementation of a patient specific care plan
  • Participate in other activities which are essential to the functioning of the patient care unit
  • Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience
