Job summary

KidMed Urgent Care in Stafford, VA seeks a Patient Care Technician/Lab Technician to support our pediatric care team. You will document charts, take vitals, maintain sterile rooms, and obtain lab samples while assisting providers in delivering high-quality care.

Required is a High School Diploma or GED and current BLS certification; one year pediatric experience is preferred, with additional preferred credentials in medical assisting or urgent care settings. Full benefits and PTO are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience in pediatrics preferred.
• Emergency/Urgent Care experience preferred.
• Certification from an approved Medical Assisting program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Document charts, take patient vitals, and keep patient rooms clean and sterile.
• Obtain lab samples and assist medical providers in delivering quality pediatric care.
• Ensure patients and caregivers are treated with respect and dignity.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)

One year experience in pediatrics (preferred)

Emergency/Urgent Care experience (preferred)

Certification from an approved Medical Assisting program (preferred)

The Position

The Patient Care Technician/Lab Technician will assist our medical providers in providing quality care to our pediatric patients. You will perform tasks that are instrumental to the success of KidMed; Documenting charts, taking patient vitals, ensuring that patients rooms remain clean and sterile, and obtaining lab samples (to name only a few of the duties).

Most importantly, you will ensure that our patients and that their caregivers are treated with respect and dignity.
