Job summary

KidMed Urgent Care in Virginia seeks a Patient Care Technician/Lab Technician to support pediatric care teams. You will document charts, take vitals, and help with lab samples while upholding patient comfort and safety.

You will work with a dedicated caregiving team, uphold KidMed's mission, and contribute to a compassionate, efficient after-hours urgent care environment for children and families. Responsibilities include maintaining clean, sterile rooms, assisting physicians, and ensuring

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• One year experience in pediatrics (preferred).
• Emergency/Urgent Care experience (preferred).
• Certification from an approved Medical Assisting program (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Documenting charts and taking patient vitals.
• Ensuring patient rooms remain clean and sterile.
• Obtaining lab samples.
• Support medical providers in delivering pediatric care.
• Treat patients and caregivers with respect and dignity.

The Position

The Patient Care Technician/Lab Technician will assist our medical providers in providing quality care to our pediatric patients. You will perform tasks that are instrumental to the success of KidMed; Documenting charts, taking patient vitals, ensuring that patients rooms remain clean and sterile, and obtaining lab samples (to name only a few of the duties).

Most importantly, you will ensure that our patients and that their caregivers are treated with respect and dignity.

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• One year experience in pediatrics (preferred)
• Emergency/Urgent Care experience (preferred)
• Certification from an approved Medical Assisting program (preferred)
