Job summary

KidMedVA is seeking a Patient Care Technician/Lab Technician to support our pediatric providers in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You will document charts, take patient vitals, and assist with lab work, ensuring rooms remain clean and sterile while providing compassionate care.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, current BLS certification, and at least one year of pediatrics or urgent care experience; certification from a Medical Assisting program is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• One year experience in pediatrics (preferred).
• Emergency/Urgent Care experience (preferred).
• Certification from an approved Medical Assisting program (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Document charts and take patient vitals.
• Keep patient rooms clean and sterile.
• Obtain lab samples.
• Treat patients and caregivers with respect and dignity.

The Position

The Patient Care Technician/Lab Technician will assist our medical providers in providing quality care to our pediatric patients. You will perform tasks that are instrumental to the success of KidMed; Documenting charts, taking patient vitals, ensuring that patients rooms remain clean and sterile, and obtaining lab samples (to name only a few of the duties).

Most importantly, you will ensure that our patients and that their caregivers are treated with respect and dignity.

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• One year experience in pediatrics (preferred)
• Emergency/Urgent Care experience (preferred)
• Certification from an approved Medical Assisting program (preferred)
