Job summary

KidMed is seeking a Patient Care Technician/Lab Technician to assist our pediatric clinicians in delivering compassionate, high-quality care to children.

Responsibilities include documenting charts, taking patient vitals, maintaining clean and sterile rooms, and obtaining lab samples while treating patients and families with respect and dignity. Required: High School Diploma or GED and BLS certification; pediatric experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required or in progress.
• Experience in pediatrics is preferred but not required.
• Emergency/urgent care experience is a plus.
• Certification from an approved Medical Assisting program is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Document patient charts accurately.
• Take and record patient vitals.
• Keep patient rooms clean and sterile.
• Obtain lab samples for testing.

The Position

The Patient Care Technician/Lab Technician will assist our medical providers in providing quality care to our pediatric patients. You will perform tasks that are instrumental to the success of KidMed; Documenting charts, taking patient vitals, ensuring that patients rooms remain clean and sterile, and obtaining lab samples (to name only a few of the duties).

Most importantly, you will ensure that our patients and that their caregivers are treated with respect and dignity.

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• One year experience in pediatrics (preferred)
• Emergency/Urgent Care experience (preferred)
• Certification from an approved Medical Assisting program (preferred)
