Job summary

KidMed Urgent Care in Stafford, VA seeks a Patient Care Technician/Lab Technician to support pediatric providers and deliver compassionate care to children and families.

You will document charts, take vitals, maintain clean rooms, and collect lab samples while ensuring patients and caregivers are treated with respect and dignity. A high school diploma, BLS, and pediatric experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• One year experience in pediatrics (preferred).
• Emergency/Urgent Care experience (preferred).
• Certification from an approved Medical Assisting program (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Documenting charts and taking patient vitals.
• Ensuring patient rooms are clean and sterile.
• Obtaining lab samples as part of patient care.
• Treating patients and caregivers with respect and dignity.

The Position

The Patient Care Technician/Lab Technician will assist our medical providers in providing quality care to our pediatric patients. You will perform tasks that are instrumental to the success of KidMed; Documenting charts, taking patient vitals, ensuring that patients rooms remain clean and sterile, and obtaining lab samples (to name only a few of the duties). Most importantly, you will ensure that our patients and that their caregivers are treated with respect and dignity.

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• One year experience in pediatrics (preferred)
• Emergency/Urgent Care experience (preferred)
• Certification from an approved Medical Assisting program (preferred)
