Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in New Jersey is hiring a Patient Care Technician / CNA to join our care teams. You will provide direct patient care across age groups, perform routine clinical tasks, monitor vitals, and collaborate with RNs and other staff to ensure safe, compassionate care.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and completion of a CNA/MA/PCT program or equivalent. Certification in Basic Life Support within 60 days is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required and completion of one of the following: CNA, Medical Assistant, or PCT program; or Nursing fundamentals program; or HMH PCT Apprenticeship; or equivalent medical background.
• The ability to learn quickly, adaptability, accountability for patient care, teamwork, and commitment to ongoing education.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care based on age, safety, education, and criteria for guests/patients served.
• Communicate with patients, nursing colleagues, and health care team regarding patient status.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, vital signs, and other assigned procedures as directed.
