Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to deliver direct patient care with attention to safety, communication, and collaboration across the health care team. Responsibilities include collecting vital signs, assisting with admissions and procedures, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

A pathway exists into PCT Apprenticeship, with a focus on growth and learning. Minimum education includes a HS diploma or GED, and completion of an approved PCT/CNA/MA program

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of CNA/MA/PCT program or equivalent.
• AHA BLS certification within 60 days of start.
• Hospitals prefer PCT/CNA experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care based on age and needs.
• Communicate patient status to nursing staff.
• Assist with care plans from admission to discharge.
• Support interpretation and implementation of PI activities.
• Ensure equipment is available and functioning.
• Assist with monitoring, vitals, and specimen collection.
