Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking a Patient Care Technician I to provide direct patient care under licensed clinicians. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and help ensure patient safety in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Under supervision, you will perform tasks such as phlebotomy in some locations, EKGs, and specimen handling, while upholding the six Standards of Respect and contributing to a compassionate patient experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school education or GED.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under supervision and communicate observations to RN.
• Maintain patient safety and assist with daily living activities.
• Assist with treatments and procedures as directed by the healthcare team.
• Monitor vital signs and document observations.
• Support in maintaining a safe and respectful patient environment.
