Job summary

Valley Hospital-Paramus is seeking a skilled Medical Support Technician to provide direct and indirect patient care, including EKGs, phlebotomy, and vital signs, under physician and nursing supervision.

The candidate will assist with wound care, crutch fitting, and materials management while adhering to Valley policies and procedures. A high school diploma, CPR, and relevant credentials are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with CPR certification.
• Experience in phlebotomy and EKG in a clinical setting preferred.
• Knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology.
• Current CPR card/certification required.
• Eligible for CMA/credentialing per Valley guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform EKGs and phlebotomy per protocol.
• Record vital signs and obtain basic patient data.
• Assist with wound care and dressing changes.
• Assist with crutch fitting and mobilization.
• Support materials management and equipment maintenance.
• Assist in direct and indirect patient care per staff instructions.
