UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking a Patient Care Technician I to support licensed clinicians and assist with patient care in a busy hospital unit. The role is non-exempt with an evening shift and a 32-hour weekly schedule; full-time offers a set benefits package and potential signing bonus.

Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, assisting with daily living activities, performing EKGs and POC tests, specimen collection, maintaining safety, and documenting observations

Competenze

• Minimum of a high school education or GED.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English clearly.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic Medical Terminology knowledge.
• Must be able to remain calm under stress or in emergency situations.

Mansioni

• Provides clear, timely communication to the RN regarding observations and changes in patients.
• Maintains constant observation of high-risk patients as assigned.
• Assists with daily living activities and mobility.
• Performs vital signs, height/weight measurements, and basic nursing tasks.
• Assists with treatments and procedures as directed by licensed clinicians.
• Maintains patient safety and follows unit policies.
