Job summary

AtlantiCare is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join the patient care team in New Jersey. The role involves direct and indirect patient care under licensed supervision, assisting with personal care, and participating in the plan of care.

The technician will collect test specimens, aid in limited lab services, and report data to clinicians, while maintaining confidentiality and teamwork. BLS certification is required within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• English language proficiency required; bilingual preferred.
• At least 8 weeks of patient care education or experience; or enrolled in nursing/PA program.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required within 30 days.
• CPI training required within 1 year of hire or by 10/31/25 for existing employees.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal care and participate in the plan of care.
• Communicate observations and data to the Clinical Associate.
• May collect test specimens and assist with limited laboratory services as directed.
• Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate respect toward patients and staff.
• Support the care team and assist other members as needed.
