Job summary

AtlantiCare is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the patient care team in Atlantic City, NJ. You will assist patients with personal care, document observations, and participate in the plan of care under licensed supervision.

The role may involve collecting test specimens, performing limited laboratory tasks, and communicating effectively with clinicians. A compassionate, confidential approach and English proficiency are required, with bilingual abilities preferred.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• CPI training required within 1 year of hire, or until 10/31/25 for existing employees.
• Ability to speak and write English; bilingual preferred.
• At least 8 weeks of Patient Care education or direct patient care experience, or enrolled in nursing/PA program.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Interpersonal skills required to communicate with team.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal care needs as part of the care team.
• Communicate observations and data to the Clinical Associate.
• Collect test specimens and document patient care activities.
• May perform limited laboratory services and quality control tasks.
• Support customers in a friendly, confidential, respectful manner.
