WellNow Urgent Care is hiring a Patient Care Technician to bridge front-end operations with clinical workflows. You will take histories, monitor vital signs, perform phlebotomy if certified, and support lab duties to ensure efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience as a Patient Care Technician or similar role; OR equivalent education/certification in a related healthcare specialty
• Preferred experience in Urgent Care, Occupational Medicine, and/or Phlebotomy
• Ability to register patients on the computer and use EMR

Responsibilities

• Take patient history and obtain vital signs
• Perform phlebotomy for lab samples if certified
• Complete paperwork for lab tests (blood, urine, tissue, culture)
• Perform point-of-care testing (strep, flu, glucose, U/A, etc.)
• Schedule and coordinate records for ancillary care
• Assist providers with exams and testing (EKG, I&D, splints etc.)
• Maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA) and ensure equipment works
• Document history and exam findings dictated by the provider
• Maintain exam rooms and stock supplies
• Support provider efficiency and patient flow
• Assist with bedside care and transport between front and clinical areas
• Enter patient data into EMR and complete related tasks
