Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in Florida is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide direct patient care under RN supervision. The role supports pediatric patients, communicates with families, and assists with routine tasks to maintain a compassionate, safe care environment.

Qualified candidates include CNAs or MAs, or nursing students who have completed basic nursing skills; EMT or BLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year of clinical experience or successful completion of intern program
• CNA certification, MA certification, or nursing student/LPN with basic nursing skills

Position Summary:

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs direct patient care tasks under the direction of the Registered Nurse and performs various tasks as competency documentation designates. Work occasionally requires internal contacts outside the work group to exchange relevant information. Communication with external contacts involves providing or giving factual information

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma.
• One year of clinical experience is required or successful completion of the intern program

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification, Medical Assistant (MA) certification, or one of the

  following:

  A nursing student or LPN who has completed fundamental nursing skills coursework

  An Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification

  BLS certification provided by AHA

Salary Range: Minimum 17.37/hour - Maximum 26.91/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
