UPMC Chautauqua in Jamestown, NY seeks a full-time Patient Care Technician (4D) with direct patient care experience. The role rotates day/night shifts, including every other weekend and rotating holidays, contributing to patient comfort and safety under RN supervision.

The technician provides ADLs, monitoring and reporting, assists with therapies, and supports departmental quality initiatives. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in this fast-paced hospital unit.

Competenze

• Must routinely perform UPMC nursing core nursing assistant responsibilities including ADLs (bathing, feeding, transporting, toileting, ambulating, turning and repositioning patients) and related tasks.
• All competencies must be achieved as part of the role.
• Professionally communicate with other departments and maintain patient safety.

• Suggests and supports changes within the department. Assumes responsibility for assignment and views problems as challenges.
• Provides patient care including assisting with activities of daily living and related therapies as directed by RN.
• Reports changes in inpatient status to the RN and documents in the medical record.
• Maintains safety policies and professional interpersonal relationships within the unit.
• Performs standard departmental duties and supports quality initiatives.
