UPMC Chautauqua seeks a full-time Patient Care Technician for our 5D/Telemetry Unit. This role features a variable shift schedule including every other weekend and rotating holidays, with direct patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities include ADLs, vital signs, telemetry monitoring, and collaboration with the RN and health care team. The ideal candidate will be committed to patient safety, comfort, and professional growth within the UPMC care ladder.

Qualifications

• Direct patient care experience is preferred.
• Ability to perform ADLs and basic nursing tasks.

Responsabilités

• Assist with ADLs including bathing, feeding, transferring and ambulation.
• Support telemetry monitoring and vital signs collection.
• Report equipment issues and coordinate with the health care team.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort, respond to call lights.
• Participate in unit activities and quality initiatives.
• Adhere to hospital policies and safety procedures.
• Provide patient and family instruction under RN supervision.
