Job summary

UF Health in The Villages, FL, is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Emergency Department nights. You will assist with activities of daily living, help create a clean, safe environment and support the care team with delegated technical procedures.

Under supervision, you’ll work with nurses to support patients’ comfort and safety, meet post-high-school training requirements, and ensure you can read, write, speak and understand English. BLS certification is required; phlebotomy is preferred.

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Unit Director and direct supervision of the Charge RN and/or Staff RN/LPN, the Patient Care Technician facilitates patient care through assistance with activities of daily living, helping provide a clean, comfortable and safe care environment, and performing delegated technical procedures.

Working alongside nurses and other members of the emergency care team, you'll help support patients with a variety of needs while contributing to safe and efficient care throughout the department.
