UF Health Central Florida’s Emergency Department is seeking a Patient Care Technician for night shifts to support patients during critical moments.

You will work under supervision to assist with daily living activities, maintain patient safety and comfort, and perform delegated technical tasks as part of a fast-paced care team.

Qualifications

• Post‑high‑school specialized training required.
• Phlebotomy certificate preferred.
• CNA certification or State of Florida EMT license preferred.
• BLS required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Unit Director and direct supervision of the Charge RN and/or Staff RN/LPN, the Patient Care Technician facilitates patient care through assistance with activities of daily living, helping provide a clean, comfortable and safe care environment, and performing delegated technical procedures.

Working alongside nurses and other members of the emergency care team, you’ll help support patients with a variety of needs while contributing to safe and efficient care throughout the department.
