Job summary

UF Health Central Florida is seeking an ED Technician to join the Emergency Department in The Villages. Under the supervision of an RN, you will assist with advanced physical care, perform clinical procedures, provide comfort measures, and help keep the environment clean, safe, and organized.

This full-time position (36 hours per week) focuses on delivering rapid, compassionate care when every second counts and requires Florida paramedic licensure, BLS, and ACLS as a plus.

Qualifications

• Post-high-school specialized training is required.
• Associate Degree is preferred.
• Florida Paramedic License is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification is preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Position Overview

Under the direction of the RN, the ED Technician facilitates patient care by providing advanced physical care and clinical procedures, offering comfort measures, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment.

As a member of the Emergency Department patient care team, the ED Technician works within the guidelines of their certification and under the direct supervision of an ED Physician.
