UF Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Emergency Department night team. You will assist with daily living activities, maintain a safe and comfortable environment, and perform delegated technical procedures under RN supervision.

You will work alongside nurses in a fast-paced emergency care setting, supporting patient comfort and safety while contributing to efficient care in critical moments.

Qualifications

• Post-high-school specialized training required.
• Phlebotomy certificate preferred.
• CNA certification or State of Florida EMT license preferred.
• BLS required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Overview

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Unit Director and direct supervision of the Charge RN and/or Staff RN/LPN, the Patient Care Technician facilitates patient care through assistance with activities of daily living, helping provide a clean, comfortable and safe care environment, and performing delegated technical procedures.

Working alongside nurses and other members of the emergency care team, you’ll help support patients with a variety of needs while contributing to safe and efficient care throughout the department.
