Job summary

UF Health in The Villages, FL is seeking an ED Technician to support emergency patient care. Under the supervision of an ED Physician, you will provide advanced physical care, assist with clinical procedures, and maintain a safe, clean environment to ensure high-quality, compassionate service during critical moments.

Requirements include post-high-school specialized training, an Florida Paramedic License, and BLS; ACLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Post-high-school specialized training is required.
• Associate degree is preferred.
• Florida Paramedic License is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• ACLS is preferred.

Position Overview

Under the direction of the RN, the ED Technician facilitates patient care by providing advanced physical care and clinical procedures, offering comfort measures, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment.

As a member of the Emergency Department patient care team, the ED Technician works within the guidelines of their certification and under the direct supervision of an ED Physician.
