Job summary

UF Health Emergency Department is seeking a Patient Care Technician for day shifts. You will assist with activities of daily living, provide patient comfort, and support the care team in a fast-paced emergency department.

Under supervision, you will perform delegated technical procedures and help ensure a clean, safe care environment for patients in need of urgent care. English proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting with activities of daily living in a clinical setting.
• Phlebotomy certificate preferred; CNA or EMT license preferred; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

Technician and provide the hands-on care, comfort and technical support patients need during some of their most critical moments.

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Unit Director and direct supervision of the Charge RN and/or Staff RN/LPN, the Patient Care Technician facilitates patient care through assistance with activities of daily living, helping provide a clean, comfortable and safe care environment, and performing delegated technical procedures.

Working alongside nurses and other members of the emergency care team, you'll help support patients with a variety of needs while contributing to safe and efficient care throughout the department.
