Job summary

Endeavor Health seeks a Patient Care Technician -CV- Days for Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus. This full-time role (36 hours/week) operates 7:00 AM–7:30 PM with weekend rotation; supports RN with patient care to ensure comfort and safety in a busy inpatient setting.

Required CPR certification and CNA training or six months of experience, plus a care companion course within six months if mandated. Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association is required.
• Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of patient care experience or completion of one nursing clinical rotation.
• Successful completion of the care Companion Course within six months of hire when required by the department.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork and ability to prioritize and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Under RN direction, perform patient care tasks and procedures to support patient comfort and safety.
• Assist with routine care and activities as delegated by the nursing team.
• Document care given and communicate patient needs to the RN.

Hourly Pay Range

$19.71 - $28.58 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Position: Patient Care Technician -CV- Days
• Location: Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus - 155 E. Brush Hill Rd., Elmhurst, IL 60126
• Full Time: 36 hours per week
• Hours: 7am-7:30pm (4-5 weekends in a 6 week period) and rotating holiday track
• Call: If census is low and not needed in other areas
• Required Travel: no
• Float: Could float to any inpatient unit including PCCU

What You Will Do

The Patient Care Tech, under the directions of a Registered Nurse (RN) and, according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients.

What You Will Need

• Education: N/A
• Certification: Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience: Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of previous patient care experience or equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation
• Successful completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when course is required by the department.
