The role involves providing delegated direct patient care, maintaining a safe environment, and documenting care and observations in a clinical setting. The position emphasizes infection prevention, accurate data reporting, and compassionate patient interactions.

Qualifications

• Must have completed first semester of an accredited nursing program or completed a medical assistant/PCT program.
• Certification substitutions allowed: CCMA, CMA, RMA, CNA, EMT or PCT may substitute for education.
• Active Kansas certification as one of the listed roles may substitute for education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with delegated patient care interventions.
• Maintain a safe environment and document care provided.
• Report patient condition changes to the RN and other staff.
• Follow infection prevention and standard precautions.
• Assist with activities of daily living and vital signs.
• Document and communicate pertinent patient information to the care team.
