Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care under supervision of RN/LPN. The role includes assisting with activities of daily living, infection control, and safe, organized patient environments.

The candidate will document vital signs, support meals and hygiene, assist with positioning and mobility, and ensure clear communication within the care team. CNA or nursing program enrollment preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of patient care practices and equipment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with delegated basic patient care and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Record and report vital signs and other patient data to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Support with meals, bathing, grooming, and daily living activities.
• Assist with patient positioning, mobility, and use of mobility aids.
• Collect urine/stool samples and monitor blood glucose as directed.
• Communicate patient information clearly to the care team and follow PPE protocols.
