Job summary

Grandview Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist with daily patient care needs under RN/LPN supervision. You will help with activities of daily living, monitor patient data, and ensure a safe, clean environment while maintaining professional communication with the care team.

This role requires 0-2 years of acute care experience or current nursing program enrollment, with BCLS within 90 days of hire and CNA or CPCT preferred.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire required
• CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant preferred or
• Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT) preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists nursing staff in delivering care and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Records patient data including vital signs and intake/output, reporting to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Aids patients with meals, grooming, bathing, and elimination, and helps with mobility.
• Positions patients and assists with ambulation and use of mobility aids.
• Collects urine/stool samples and monitors blood glucose via finger sticks.
• Provides clear communication to the care team and adheres to safety protocols.
• Maintains infection control standards and uses PPE appropriately.
• Supports performance improvement and risk management activities.
