Job summary

Longview Regional Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to assist nursing staff in delivering patient-centered care under RN/LPN/LVN supervision. The role involves helping with activities of daily living, maintaining a safe care environment, and ensuring effective communication within the care team.

The position requires 0-2 years of acute care experience or current nursing program enrollment, and BCLS within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred
• BCLS within 90 days of hire required
• CPCT or CNA certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with delegated basic patient care tasks and maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Record and report vital signs and other patient data to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Assist with meals, bathing, grooming, linen changes, and mobility support.
• Support patient positioning, ambulation, and use of mobility aids.
• Document test results and communicate patient information to the care team.
