Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for St. Charles Hospital to support nurses by providing basic patient care, monitoring vitals, assisting with activities of daily living, and ensuring clean, safe patient rooms.

The role emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered service aligned with Mercy Health values. The candidate should have recent acute care or home health experience, be prepared to obtain or maintain BLS, and demonstrate strong documentation and communication skills

Qualifications

• Requires BLS; nursing aide training or STNA/CNA certification or nursing program with clinical component.
• Recent experience in acute care or home health preferred.
• Ability to document care accurately and timely.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including hygiene, feeding and mobility assistance.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes to the nurse.
• Sanitize and clean patient rooms and equipment.
• Document patient care accurately and timely.
• Assist with hand-offs and care transitions between shifts.
