Job summary

Northeast Georgia Medical Center is seeking a flexible, non-licensed staff member to support nursing units and transport duties. This role includes basic patient care within defined practice, assisting with ADLs, and maintaining patient safety on adolescent to geriatric floors.

Responsibilities include vital signs, patient transport, and ensuring proper documentation while working under the supervision of the shift nurse.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• CCHT certification is required for dialysis unit only.
• No prior nursing assistant experience is required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and reports basic patient physiological data such as vital signs and weight.
• Assists with activities of daily living and mobility per protocol.
• Maintains patient safety and uses body mechanics for patient handling.
• Assists with patient transport and room/unit cleanliness.
• Responds to patient call lights and communicates effectively with nursing staff.
• Prepares room for new admissions and ensures supplies are stocked.
