Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate from an accredited Certified Nursing Program (CNA).
• Prefers 1 year experience in a health care setting.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• CNA certification (grandfathered if hired before 8/2016).
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
• LA City Fire Life Safety training required or to be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Responds to patient calls within 10 minutes and supports RN with care planning.
• Maintains clean and orderly patient rooms and provides basic hygiene assistance.
• Documents care provided, vital signs, intake/output, and equipment used.
• Operates and maintains patient-care equipment safely and reports issues.
• Collaborates with nursing staff to communicate patient needs and concerns.
