Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Care Tech for Evanston Hospital in Evanston, IL. This full-time role (36 hr/wk) covers night shifts from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am with rotating weekends, located at Evanston Hospital.

You will work under an RN to deliver patient care, perform basic nursing tasks, and assist with various procedures while supporting a safe, compassionate patient experience. CNA training or nursing clinical rotation plus BLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• CNA training or nursing clinical rotation in medical/surgical setting preferred.
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider required.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN in delivering patient care and vital signs.
• Support with 12-Lead EKGs, Foley removal, specimen collection, bathing, mobility and daily care tasks.
• Assist with discharge preparation and admissions as needed.
• Participate in implementing patient care plans and safety initiatives.

What you will do

Work under the supervision of a RN to deliver patient care Assist with Vital Signs (includes manual blood pressure), 12-Lead EKG, Bladder Ultrasound, Foley catheter and IV adapter removal, sterile specimen collection, bathing, beds, ambulating, turning, hourly rounding, blood glucose, feeding, admitting patients to room, preparing patients for discharge and any other duties delegated by the Registered Nurse Assist with the implementation of a patient specific care plan Participate in other activities which are essential to the functioning of the patient care unit Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience

What you will need

Education: Eligible to work in the U.S., and completion of an accredited certified nursing assistant (C.N.A.) training course preferred, or completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical preferred

License: N/A

Certification: Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider issued by either American Heart Association required.

Experience: 1 year of customer service preferred and/or prior nursing assistant experience preferred
