Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support patient care at Evanston Hospital under the supervision of a registered nurse. This part-time role (24 hours per week) includes assisting with vital signs, bathing, mobility, and discharge preparation.

Qualifications include CNA training (or nursing clinical rotation) and current BLS certification. Prior customer service experience is preferred to ensure compassionate patient interactions and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 1 year of customer service preferred and/or prior nursing assistant experience preferred.
• Completion of an accredited CNA training course preferred, or completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical preferred.
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider required.

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of a RN to deliver patient care.
• Assist with vital signs, including manual BP, 12-Lead EKG, bladder ultrasound, Foley catheter and IV adapter removal, sterile specimen collection, bathing, beds, ambulating, turning, hourly rounding, blood glucose, feeding, admitting patients to room, preparing patients for discharge and other duties delegated by the RN.
• Assist with the implementation of a patient-specific care plan.
• Participate in activities essential to the functioning of the patient care unit.
• Contribute to safety outcomes and promote high-quality patient experience.

Hourly Pay Range:

$19.71 - $28.58 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Location: Evanston Hospital
• Full Time/Part Time: Part time-24 hr/wk
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 11:00 pm to 7:30 am, rotating weekends
• Required Travel: no

What you will do:

• Work under the supervision of a RN to deliver patient care
• Assist with Vital Signs (includes manual blood pressure), 12-Lead EKG, Bladder Ultrasound, Foley catheter and IV adapter removal, sterile specimen collection, bathing, beds, ambulating, turning, hourly rounding, blood glucose, feeding, admitting patients to room, preparing patients for discharge and any other duties delegated by the Registered Nurse
• Assist with the implementation of a patient specific care plan
• Participate in other activities which are essential to the functioning of the patient care unit
• Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience

What you will need:

• Education: Eligible to work in the U.S., and completion of an accredited certified nursing assistant (C.N.A.) training course preferred, or completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical preferred
• License: N/A
• Certification: Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider issued by either American Heart Association required.
• Experience: 1 year of customer service preferred and/or prior nursing assistant experience preferred
