Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Care Tech to join Evanston Hospital in Evanston, IL. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse delivering patient care during nightly hours.

The role includes vital signs, 12-Lead EKG, specimen collection, feeding, discharge prep, and upholding safety and quality patient experiences. Eligibility to work in the U.S. and BLS certification are required or in progress.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the U.S. with CNA training preferred or nursing clinical rotation in med/surgical preferred.
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider required.
• 1 year of customer service experience preferred or prior nursing assistant experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Deliver patient care under RN supervision.
• Assist with vital signs, EKG, Foley care, IV removal, specimen collection, bathing and feeding.
• Help prepare patients for discharge and support care plan implementation.
• Participate in unit activities to promote safety and high-quality experiences.

Hourly Pay Range:

$19.71 - $28.58 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Patient Care Tech


• Location: Evanston Hospital


• Full Time/Part Time: As needed/per diem


• Hours: Monday-Friday, 11:00 pm to 7:30 am, weekends


• Required Travel: no

What you will do:

• Work under the supervision of a RN to deliver patient care


• Assist with Vital Signs (includes manual blood pressure), 12-Lead EKG, Bladder Ultrasound, Foley catheter and IV adapter removal, sterile specimen collection, bathing, beds, ambulating, turning, hourly rounding, blood glucose, feeding, admitting patients to room, preparing patients for discharge and any other duties delegated by the Registered Nurse


• Assist with the implementation of a patient specific care plan


• Participate in other activities which are essential to the functioning of the patient care unit


• Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience

What you will need:

• Education: Eligible to work in the U.S., and completion of an accredited certified nursing assistant (C.N.A.) training course preferred, or completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical preferred


• License: N/A


• Certification: Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider issued by either American Heart Association required.


• Experience: 1 year of customer service preferred and/or prior nursing assistant experience preferred
