Job summary

Endeavor Health is hiring a Patient Care Tech at Evanston Hospital. This full-time role (40 hr/wk) covers nights, Mon-Fri 11:00 pm–7:30 am with rotating weekends, located in Evanston, IL.

You will assist with vital signs, EKGs, Foley care, specimen collection, and routine patient care under an RN's supervision, contributing to safe, high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the U.S. with CNA training preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• 1 year of customer service or CNA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN in delivering patient care and monitoring vital signs.
• Perform 12-Lead EKG, bladder ultrasound, Foley catheter and IV adapter removal.
• Assist with bathing, ambulating, turning, hourly rounding and meal support.
• Assist with admission, bed to room placement and discharge preparation.
• Contribute to safety and high-quality patient experience on the unit.

Hourly Pay Range:

$19.71 - $28.58 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

Position: Patient Care Tech

Location: Evanston Hospital

Full Time/Part Time: Full time-40 hr/wk

Hours: Monday-Friday, 11:00 pm - 7:30 am, rotating weekends

What you will do:

Work under the supervision of a RN to deliver patient care Assist with Vital Signs (includes manual blood pressure), 12-Lead EKG, Bladder Ultrasound, Foley catheter and IV adapter removal, sterile specimen collection, bathing, beds, ambulating, turning, hourly rounding, blood glucose, feeding, admitting patients to room, preparing patients for discharge and any other duties delegated by the Registered Nurse Assist with the implementation of a patient specific care plan Participate in other activities which are essential to the functioning of the patient care unit Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience

What you will need:

Education: Eligible to work in the U.S., and completion of an accredited certified nursing assistant (C.N.A.) training course preferred, or completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical preferred

License: N/A

Certification: Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider issued by either American Heart Association required.

Experience: 1 year of customer service preferred and/or prior nursing assistant experience preferred
